Digital noise image effect with colored static
Digital Noise mixes colored static and horizontal noise bands into an image. Strength sets the disturbance, while Chroma moves between monochrome and colored noise.
Compare a flat background with lettering: the texture may read clearly in the background before small characters become difficult to distinguish.

Starting workflow
- Open Digital Noise on a photograph and adjust Strength while watching a flat area.
- Choose Noise scale, then balance Chroma and Banding for scattered static or stronger horizontal lines.
- Run motion to compare changing patterns, or leave it paused for a still composition.
- Lower Mix if the texture competes with lettering, then export.

Blend the Digital Noise result with its input after the main treatment is established.

Practical tips
- Inspect small lettering after adding noise; a pleasing large preview can become hard to read when reduced.
- Use low Chroma when the source palette is already busy.
- Pause at the same time and keep Seed fixed when comparing noise settings. A new time can also produce a new pattern.
Limitations
- This adds synthetic noise; it is not a noise-reduction or photo-restoration tool.
- Refresh rate controls temporal pattern updates rather than export frame rate.
